LOTA Teams Performing Well

After celebrating its 100th year as a club in South Pasadena this past April, Live Oaks Tennis Association continues to find success on the courts.  During a two weekend stretch in April 2012, Live Oaks won two major tennis tournaments.  Live Oaks held up the Championship Trophy for the annual Foothill Clubs Doubles Tournament where teams from Flint Canyon Tennis Club, Altadena Town and Country Club, Toluca Lake Tennis Club, San Marino Tennis Club and Valley Hunt competed in doubles in a variety of rated categories for men and women.   Live Oaks won three of the five categories to capture the Club Championship.

In addition, the men’s Senior 4.0 team, led by team captains Charlie Perry and Kevin Lutz, won the USTA Fall Doubles Sectional Tournament and advanced to represent the Southern California region at the National Finals.

Live Oaks Tennis Association is one of the oldest private tennis clubs in Southern California. Located on Oak Lawn Circle, the club consists of 4 hard courts serving 110 active members.
